DESCRIPTION:
EPW - A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte, quality 1A in nickel finish, 54mm, coin silver OF original Lange marked case with gold hinges, glazed observation cover over mvt, white enamel SS dial, SW-nail-set, fully capped lever escapement with gold pallet and escape wheel, diamond endstone, 20J, nickel damascene, s#31109 with matching serial number within case. An excellent example with a very seldom seen combination of silver casing together with quality 1A movement having nickel damascene finish.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, pinpoint surface spot to main plate adjacent regulator adjustment screw; flawless dial; nearly mint hands; case shows little wear, small circular depression machined to band at 9:30, some fine scratches to rear, scratches and small marring around opening area of glazed observation cover over mvt, some mild nicks to band and to outermost ridge of bezel and rear adjacent band, no dents; bow pivots freely, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
